Bumpdate: 29 Weeks
How far along are you? 29 weeks. I'll be 30 weeks on Sunday! Weight gained? I've actually lost five pounds. But my doctor wasn't too worried about it. Movement? Yes!!! There is always TONS of movement from both babies! What is your pregnancy diet or go-to foods? I don't diet at all when I'm pregnant. Lately I've been eating a lot of Acai bowls! Do you know the genders? Yes!! But we are waiting to announce until they are born! What caused you to be put on bed rest? In the morning of October 17th (Tuesday of last week) I got up and started randomly gushing blood. I called my husband but he didn’t answer so I called my doctor and he told me to get to the hospital immediately. I then called my sister Rachel and she was able to round up the troops and find my dad and Taylor. My dad was the closest and picked me up. I’ve never seen him so worried! He was flying down the freeway and got me to the hospital in record time. Taylor got to the hospital a couple of minutes later along with Rachel and my mom. I was so scared something had happened to the babies... I asked the nurse if they would be ok and she said she didn’t know. Finally she hooked me up to the monitors and we heard the babys' perfect heartbeats. I looked at Tay and he was crying and shaking. It was very scary for our family. My contractions started and were 1-3 minutes apart, but we got those to calm down. I got a steroid shot for the baby's lungs and was able to leave the hospital a couple days later. It turns out I had a slight placental abruption so now I am on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy. What can/can't you do while on bed rest? I'm such a homebody but when you're told to lay low and stay on bedrest it gets old really fast. I feel like anytime I start to do anything I start spotting (it's very, very light - not gushing like the first incident. And I keep my doctor notified!). When are you due? Do they think you will have them early? My due date is January 7th but we are definitely expecting them in December. Every week, even every day counts!!! Did you have two eggs put in for IVF? Or did your eggs split? We put two eggs in and both took! You can read more about the details of my journey in this post.
I can't believe I will be 30 weeks on Sunday!!! When I was in the hospital last week I couldn't sleep one night so I ordered a bunch of super cute sweats and pajamas (here, here and here). If you're needing some new clothes to lounge around in, these are my favorite!
